Bodegas Arraez is a producer based in Font de la Figuera in Valencia. The 30 hectares of estate vineyards lie on very poor soils 90 km from the Mediterranean at an average altitude of 600 to 800 meters above sea level. They cultivate 40+ year-old vines from local varieties such as monastrell, tempranillo, garnacha tintorera, verdil, and moscatel, as well as small amounts of cabernet sauvignon and syrah. Apart from these vineyards they also source grapes from local independent growers (since the 1950’s) from alicante, jumilla, and utiel-requena to produce wines under the Arraez name. This sustainably-farmed red blend of monastrell and tempranillo, aged for 4 months in American oak barrels, urges you to stop stressing out about wine!
