The Pinot Noir grapes for this wine come from four blocks at the top of the vineyard on a steep, exposed and windblown hillsides. The vineyard is certified biodynamic by Demeter.Production Notes: Release Date: Apr 2023; Production 1152 cases. The de-stemmed grapes were fermented in 4-8 ton stainless steel and Burgundy oak fermenters with no SO2, allowing the fermentations to process naturally. After gentle pressing and settling, the wine aged in French oak barrels, 21% of which were new, for 16 months before bottling by gravity and without fining.Tasting Notes: Undercurrents of earth and savory spice are hallmarks of Momtazi Vineyard. Pair with earthy dishes with umami like pho, ramen, braised meats, roasts, mushrooms or dishes with eastern spices
